Education in Palestine & Fundraising

Wednesday 12th October 7pm Friends Meeting House, Upper Goat Lane, Norwich

Norfolk NUT President Chris Smith (NUT delegate to Palestine) will be speaking

Imagine learning about English identity and cultural history without studying the works of Shakespeare and you have a picture of what education in Palestine is for those designated “Israeli Arabs” forbidden to study the works of their most significant cultural figures. This picture however still lacks the effects of military dictatorship on the most vulnerable and susceptible members of society its children. Education like all other areas of life for Palestinians is shaped and represented by the will of Israel the occupying power and the NUT is proud to present findings from its most recent delegation to Palestine to allow Palestinian voices to be heard.
